The reality of implementing a quality management system
Early in 2015 I was asked to work one day a week as Quality Manager with a practice to implement their Quality Management System (QMS). The manager was proactive, and the practice already had excellent QMS software system so I thought – easy! The reality of implementing a QMS, even in this receptive practice was a little different. Quality is a double edged sword. On the positive side, quality impacts on everything in the practice – lots of opportunity to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and risk management. On the negative side, quality impacts on everything in the practice – there are inter-related issues, increasing scope of the project, and expectations are high!
This session will share the good, the bad and the ugly of the first months of the QMS....
